Big Data Architect

As a Big Data Architect, you would work with a team of architects and technical operators to develop scalable data storage infrastructure with backup, restore and monitoring solutions. You’d provide data architecture leadership with the ability to teach a team of engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable polyglot data storage services and infrastructure
- Collaborate with sprint teams on data storage-related stories
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members
- Ability to teach and lead a team of front-end developers
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (preferred)
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- 5+ years of experience using messaging systems
- 7+ years of application development experience
- Understanding of structure and usage of REST API’s
- Experience with Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) and Event-driven Architecture (EDA)
- Familiarity with Spark and Storm
- Experience with noSQL solutions: Cassandra, HDFS and Elasticsearch
- Experience using big data solutions in an AWS environment (preferred)
