Raise was launched in February, 2013 as a marketplace devoted exclusively to buying and selling gift cards. What began in a small apartment with four employees has since transitioned into an 11,000 square foot loft in River North with more than 100 people on staff. 

Our platform empowers consumers to increase their purchase power so they can give themselves a raise. Shoppers can buy discounted gift cards to save on everyday essentials, and sellers can earn cash for otherwise unwanted gift cards to spend when, where and how they choose.

The Brand Partnership Manager is responsible for creating, managing and expanding relationships with retailers and brands. You will also be responsible for shaping the strategy and direction of our sales efforts and product offerings for brands.

The Brand Partnership Manager reports directly to the head of business development. This team is responsible for the strategic growth and acceleration of the business throughnew channel creation, development, and partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Package & pitch existing company offerings to retail and brand partners
  • Assist in development of short and long-term strategy and product offerings for brand partners
  • Prospect 
  • Develop relationships & close deals
  • Implement successful launch of client programs 

Requirements:

  • Excellent presentation & negotiation skills
  • Confident pitching to decision makers of large blue chip companies 
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and close multi-million dollar deals
  • Scrappy ability to problem-solve and get things done with limited resources
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, startup environment where role and expectations shift as the company and product evolve
    • You will play a key role in driving this change and steering the development of our product and partner strategy.
  • Retail or brand specific experience or interest
  • 10-20% Travel time

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 4+ years of B2B sales experience
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets while selling new-to-the-world products
  • Preferred (but not required)
    • Experience selling to the marketing and/or gift card teams of fortune 500 companies
    • Experience working in a startup/growth stage company
