                  Business Analyst / Project Lead

Job Summary

We have a challenging opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who wants to grow their business analyst skills and take on a project leadership role within our consulting services group. As a business analyst and project lead, this person will lead requirements gathering sessions and create appropriate system requirements documentation. In addition, this person will be the primary liaison between DMC and the client organization. To be successful, a candidate must be a great communicator, organizer, and task manager with the inner drive to ensure the success of each client engagement team they work on. This position reports directly to the Director of Consulting Services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business Administration or combination of a bachelor’s degree in other disciplines with relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience working in a Business Analyst role

Key Skills

  • Consulting experience and SharePoint experience strongly preferred
  • Practical knowledge of custom application development and IT systems implementation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Expresses complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing to business and IT executives
  • Maintains awareness of business objectives and goals
  • Strong analytic and organizational skills
  • Works independently with limited supervision, coordinating projects to closure
  • Leadership and experience supervising team members

Responsibilities

  • Independently drives the process of translating business needs into system requirements
  • Leads, facilitates, and documents interactive system requirement and design sessions to capture business rules, workflow, project goals, and project benefits
  • Acts as a liaison between the client business unit and the technical development team
  • Analyzes current operational procedures, identifies problems and recommends improvements
  • Writes detailed descriptions of user needs and system functions, in addition to preparing charts and diagrams to describe workflow
  • Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to clearly define business processes and system requirements
  • Leads client and development team status meetings
  • Assists with testing and managing system defect remediation and enhancement implementation processes
  • Leads product and solution demonstrations and presentations
