Uptake Health is creating software that enables healthcare organizations to make smarter clinical and operational decisions using predictive analytics that improve patient care and decrease the growing healthcare cost burden.

What You'll Do:

​The business analyst is responsible for designing and implementing data-driven solutions that address healthcare’s most complex business problems. You’ll collaborate with Uptake colleagues across our executive, product, and data science teams to understand the challenges our partners face and how Uptake’s technologies can solve them. Our business analyst engages with customers on the ground to understand what data is available, how it is used and opportunities to leverage the data to solve valuable problems.

Some of the things you may find yourself doing:

• Collaborating with clients and colleagues to vision and design solutions, and communicating them to customers and stakeholders
• Identifying the internal and external data sources needed for the solutions we will build
• Collaborating with our data science team to prepare data for analysis and model development
• Coordinating with sprint teams, managing scope, communicating progress, and removing any and all barriers to project success
• Leading the effort to build data interfaces with the customer’s systems
• Documenting requirements to be delivered to product team for development

Qualifications:

• Strong boots-on-the-ground experience (preferably 4-8 years) and domain expertise in healthcare and the datasets available within these organizations
• A collaborative mindset and a record of building successful partner/client relationships and internal relationships with colleagues
• Familiarity with concepts and technologies behind Big Data Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Predictive Maintenance, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
• Knowledge of R, Matlab, or Python
• BS/MS, with a preferred concentration in Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Math
• Superior written and verbal communication skills—especially a strong ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders
• A sense of humor, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion to help build a fast growing business
