Our Chicago office of Emmi Solutions (www.emmisolutions.com) is searching for a Business Development Associate to join the team. The location is downtown Chicago, just a few blocks from Union Station.

The Business Development Associate is a key member of the sales team with three primary responsibilities including (1) lead generation and qualification, (2) supporting Territory Managers to ensure leads generated are moving through the sales pipeline, and (3) driving sales plan initiatives designed to engage and build relationships with pertinent representatives from within the healthcare community.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Qualification
• Research organizations to develop prospecting lists
• Create leads for Territory Managers through proactive outreach (e-mail and phone) to achieve monthly sales goals
• Respond to incoming leads and information requests
• Coordinate efforts with outsourced lead generation partners
Territory Manager Support
• Work collaboratively with Territory Managers to follow up on leads, provide follow up materials as needed, participate in ROI business case presentations and sales presentations
• Work with Territory Managers to build sales presentation schedules in targeted regional markets
• Learn the sales process by assisting in the:
• Drafting and delivering proposals
• Securing sign off on pricing and approval on implementation fees.
• Proactively generating SalesForce reports to assist in the management of the team pipeline and the assessment of sales efforts
Drive Sales Plan Initiatives
• Work with Sales Operations Manager and Territory Managers to identify regional markets and opportunities for focused sales initiatives
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree required
• Some knowledge in the healthcare field is preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be comfortable cold calling for new business
• Self -motivator with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively on the phone with seasoned healthcare executives, physicians and other potential leads
• Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to successfully follow through on assigned tasks
