This position is based in our home office in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.

Your goal:

The Business Development Lead is responsible for driving success in the following areas:

  • Serve as lead ambassador for our potential clients and our client services team

  • Drive a unique experience for potential clients from our first touch point through close

  • Managing the day-to-day and week-to-week activities and communication around new business opportunities and business development team members

  • Assembling workshop, solution, engagement proposals with cross-functional discipline leads

  • Organizing pitch materials and finalizing new business responses to both new and existing clients.

  • Maintaining a knowledge base of pitch materials, templates, and customer relationships as it pertains to our ability to successfully win

The ideal candidate possesses excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal) with a proficiency and success in working with prospective clients, particularly in the digital platform or marketing landscape.   

We are looking for an individual ready to be hands-on and collaborate with a fast-moving team within a fast-paced design organization. The ideal candidate can quickly grasp our strategic offerings and how those are best presented to clients, getting up to speed quickly with each opportunity.

A day in the life:

  • Coordinate and own the day-to-day responsibilities and needs for active client pitches and RFP responses

  • Support the development of Vokal’s story and response to client needs by developing response structure and incorporating content from key stakeholders

  • Manage consistent prospect and response list to ensure communication is on-time and delivery of materials to prospective clients is flawless.

  • Drive (as necessary) both internal and external stakeholders to ensure content is provided on-time and in the right context for delivery to prospect client

Job Specifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working within a team, organizing key client deliverables and identifying and focusing on innovative strategies and projects

  • Outstanding organization, communication (written & verbal), and team-work capabilities

  • Expertise with Google Drive and Microsoft product suite, experience with Salesforce

  • Ability to monitor and motivate a team of multiple stakeholders--communicating deadlines and deliverables

  • A track record of on-time performance and excellence meeting targets and objectives

  • The ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities within demanding timeframes

  • Familiarity with digital software development services and process a plus

  • Familiarity with sales and business development culture is a plus
