Growit! makes connecting to plants easier than ever before. The community platform helps inspire, connect and educate members on everything dealing with plants. The app is free and available on the Google Play Store and the App Store. We have seen tremendous growth over the last year with our community standing at over 240,000 registered users with aggressive growth planned for 2017. The Lawn & Garden industry is a $35 billion industry. GrowIt! is designed to aggregate consumer data to provide insights that will disrupt the entire industry. GrowIt! is the forefront of innovation in horticulture, and is setting the trends for the future.

In order to rapidly increase exposure and gain more revenue, we have developed a software solution that can be used in major cities and botanical gardens across the country.  This product is an add-on experience to the GrowIt! platform that enable visitors at registered sites to have access to an enhanced garden/city tour. The solution utilizes Bluetooth beacons to combine the physical and digital worlds for an experience that will keep visitors engaged and help the botanical gardens deliver hyper-targeted messaging. GrowIt! is very well connected with the garden industry and already has a list of garden sales prospects interested in adding the solution to their garden.

Business Development Manager for Digital Tours Description: 

The business development representative plays a leading role in achieving ambitious user acquisition and revenue growth objectives through the implementation of digital garden tours. This new digital solution helps a garden achieve their membership and engagement goals by leveraging the GrowIt! Platform through a beacon experience and hyper-targeted messaging. With endorsements coming from the industry’s governing association, GrowIt! is lined up for solid growth. The business development rep will be responsible for the entire program including prospecting, pitching, closing sales, installing the solution, customer service and ideating for the next generation of development.

The Business Development Manager’s main roles are to:

Build a network consisting of garden leaders and potential clients. – Including travel to industry conferences, meetings, public garden visits, and cold calls.

Develop a new market. – This is one of the first programs of its kind and definitely a first for GrowIt! It will be necessary to not only find customers, but also to create new strategies and uses for specific and unique uses for the software solution.

Design customized digital “GrowIt” solutions. – Each sale will be different and must be customized to a customer’s needs. The representative will be responsible for communicating between customer, development team, and GrowIt! Leadership to ensure everyone’s goals are met.

Close Sales. – Though there are already several qualified leads. It will be necessary to close the deal and provide top-notch follow-up to ensure continued customer satisfaction. 

Drive product innovation. ­­– This product is new, and will need to be enhanced. It is the responsibility of the rep to actively assess the solution to identify strengths and weaknesses.

 

Requirements:

·        A respect for plants and their importance to the public

·        Highly motivated, entrepreneurial and goal-oriented, yet humble team player

·        2-4 years of SaaS sales, beacon experience is a bonus

·        Ability to customize digital solutions based on client needs

·        Ability to moderate through effective communication both verbal and written

·        Great networking and relationship building skills

·        Ability to travel at least 10 weeks of the year (nonconsecutively)

·        A keen sense of creativity to see a product as what it can do not what it is

·        Ability to work with a startup product (it’s not perfect yet)

·        Exceptional follow-up skills

·        Comfortable with some public speaking

·        Self-motivated & highly driven
