As a Business Manager, you’ll be responsible for establishing and administering a family office program and you’ll take on a wide variety of duties, including financial management and record keeping, financial statement preparation, investment reporting and compliance, tax and estate planning support, cash management, and oversight of bank activities. This person will be expected to build trusted relationships with a small number of partners and external advisors and will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The role also requires a high level of discretion and professionalism as it will have broad access to a variety of personal financial information and confidential matters.

What you’ll do in this role:
- Manage and oversee all personal financial administrative processes including:
- invoice payment and tracking
- bookkeeping, budgeting and cash management activities
- ensuring compliance for various investment activities
- debt management and structuring
- ensuring the legal structure of various holdings is followed
- Manage and optimize administrative issues and processes
- Review expenditures and ensure that adequate financial controls are followed
- Track and report on personal investments ranging from equities to real estate to complex alternative investments
- Assist in establishing family investment and financial management policies and procedures
- Develop financial models and reports to provide insights, including:
- Balance sheets
- Cash projections
- Liquidity analyses
- Investment allocation summaries
- Coordinate activities directly with individual partners and their attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors to ensure efficient flow of accurate information
You’ll be right at home if you have:
- Substantial financial management and record keeping experience across a wide variety of accounts and expenditures
- Previous experience monitoring a variety of investment vehicles and producing regular investment performance reporting
- Experience producing and interpreting financial statements
- Previous cash management experience involving multiple accounts; experience actively monitoring accounts and optimizing liquidity across accounts
- Experience managing a variety of banking activities for multiple accounts
- Previous exposure supporting tax planning and/or estate planning activities and liaising with tax professionals
- Experience working with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong financial literacy and a genuine interest in financial matters
- Background in accounting and/or financial analysis
