 Role and Responsibilities

The Channel Director is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining relationships with SMS Assist’s strategic channel partners. The successful Channel Director will leverage those relationships to accelerate revenue growth and increase opportunity pipeline in mutually-beneficial partnerships.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide both relationship management and thought leadership to the channel, including large corporate real estate brokerage firms and facility management/real estate vertically-focused thought leadership organizations while also identifying and developing other complementary sales channels.

This position will play a critical role in differentiating the value of the SMS solution in a complex property management and IFM ecosystem. It will have executive visibility within the organization and work closely with the field sales team, executive Sales leadership, key operations stakeholders and marketing leadership as well. 

Responsibilities

  • Establish productive professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts.
  • Meet assigned targets for new revenue and new opportunities in assigned partner accounts.
  • Coordinate involvement of field sales, leadership, operations and marketing personnel to drive increased awareness and engagement at partner accounts.
  • Develop and lead joint planning processes with partners, including performance and financial objectives as well as other milestones.
  • Provide clear and timely feedback on the status of each partnership relationship to leadership and the broader sales organization.
  • Lead and assist in the development of channel-specific programs, and drive adoption of those programs across the channel community.
  • Attend channel-hosted events and lead SMS Assist-hosted events for the channel.
  • Manage channels effectively through clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and recruit new partners that align with broader, strategic sales goals.

Qualifications & Education

  • 10+ years’ experience preferred in a channel or relevant B2B sales environment.
  • Strong demonstrated ability to manage complex organizational and interpersonal relationships.
  • Familiarity with corporate real estate brokerage and/or facility management space strongly preferred.
  • Clear and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionality and accomplish goals through influence.
  • Experience meeting and managing deadlines and balancing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to present at the C-Suite level.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required, Salesforce or other CRM systems preferred.
  • College degree from an accredited institution.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% when necessary.

Key Relationships and Partners

  • Reports to VP Sales Strategy and Operations, works closely with Chief Revenue Officer, VP of Sales (multiple), VP of Business Development, Manager of Sales Engagement, Managing Director Operations (& select team members), CIO (& select team members), Director of Implementation
