Reports to: Director of Compliance
Our Compliance team:
Our Compliance team is responsible for identifying, controlling and monitoring all of Enova’s compliance obligations. They support compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures related to the operation of Enova’s online lending business.
This is where YOU come in:
Enova’s Compliance Department is looking for a candidate with strong US regulatory compliance skills and expertise. This candidate must possess a detailed understanding and knowledge of the financial services industry with focus on consumer and commercial lending.Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance in appropriate business units through a high level of competency with all federal and state laws and regulations, particularly lending laws (including guidance issued by federal regulators such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency), anti-money laundering, identity theft, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and privacy laws.
- Ensure compliance in all the Company's products, including fair lending applications.
- Draft and review departmental policies, procedures, and practices to determine compliance risk and lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices that have risk-based compliance influence built into the everyday operations of the various departments.
- Develop specifically identified compliance training programs for all areas of the Company, when and where the need is detected.
- Coordinate the Company’s regulatory examinations and audits, as necessary.
- Assist other compliance staff and businesses in compliance-related matters in foreign jurisdictions.
You’re right for this job if you have:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of five years of regulatory compliance responsibility in the financial services industry.
- Have a knowledge of US consumer financial regulatory requirements and the proven ability to apply that knowledge in financial services
- Some state and federal regulatory examination experience is desirable but not required.
- Experience interacting with/managing interactions with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and/or Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Experience working at one of those institutions in a supervisory or enforcement role is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have the ability to independently perform compliance related research.
- Proficiency in translating complex data and analysis into actionable findings.
- Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to make logical and reasoned decisions based on data.
- Have superior organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency and self-sufficiency in Microsoft Office applications (namely, Word, Excel and Outlook).
