We are looking for a Compliance Manager in our Chicago office to ensure reduction and control of compliance risks through ongoing risk evaluation and allocation from compliance perspective.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute compliance programs by providing guidance with compliance regulations and standards applicable to cleverbridge
- Provide the Director of Global Compliance with regular updates on the state of compliance and support with competency and ideas on improving the compliance program and providing transparency to the organization
- Collaborate and partner with departments to ensure ownership and remediation of regulatory requirements
- Manage and execute departmental and cross-departmental international projects
- Execute and contribute to functional and corporate strategy
- Serve as a subject matter expert, internal consultant, and thought partner on all related compliance issues focusing on international impact and dependencies
- Manage sustainable processes, programs, and policies
- Embed a culture of continued improvement into existing compliance programs
- Execution and support of annual audits as well as potential audits by clients or partners
Your Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Economic Science
- 3-5 years relevant experience in IT compliance, IT risk management, IT audit, information security, or privacy management at a consulting or audit firm or in-house
- Understanding of compliance requirements in ecommerce, electronic payments, and online and email marketing
- Experience working with industry-specific local and international standards and regulations like PCI DSS, GDPR, export compliance, ISO 27001, ISAE 3402, SOC 2, SOX, Anti-money laundering, service provider due diligence and (IT) risk management
- Experience working with global teams with different backgrounds from information technology, legal, finance, and business stakeholders
- Self-sufficient, organized, and responsible without need for regular oversight
- Quickly apprehend complex, international issues and present them in a comprehensible way to others, especially non-specialist stakeholders to provide collaborative solutions
- Global, solution-focused with strong negotiation skills and decisiveness
- Your sharp business judgment gives you the ability to provide pragmatic and efficient compliance analysis and advice
- Up to date with trends for innovative solutions to emerging compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with an attention to detail (German desired but not required)
