Job Description

We are seeking a Consultant to join the Team. The Consultant serves as a client-facing project leader for our complex product content and ecommerce consulting projects. The Consultant is a key liaison between the client leadership teams and the Codifyd project teams. In addition, the Consultant takes overall accountability for key deliveries and the day-to-day management of the project. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and agile person, experienced at interacting with Executive level staff and willing to travel up to 50%.

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish meaningful working relationships with client
  • Identify, define and resolve issues from both internal teams and client-side teams
  • Understand all aspects of the client’s needs as well as the organizational and political landscape
  • Consistent and regular communication with clients in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
  • Research and assist with Analyst-level execution when necessary for timely project execution
  • Define and record project requirements
  • Work with relevant Project Managers and Principal Consultants to deliver project plans and strategic engagement plans
  • Accountable for understanding all project execution requirements and communicating to Managers of relevant functional groups
  • Author and Maintain Project Execution Specifications for all projects prior to execution and throughout the life of the project.
  • Consistent and timely communication of requirement changes over the life of the project
  • Regular meeting with and rapid response to Clients

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 2+ years in Consulting projects in the ecommerce, product content/data or business strategy fields
  • Travel of 25-50% expected
  • Excellent client-facing skills including: instilling trust, running productive meetings and distilling information quickly
  • Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills
  • Experience involving techniques in handling large, complex data
  • Exceptional team player with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team support quickly
  • Keen editorial skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills, including PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Taxonomy principles
  • Basic SQL skills a plus
  • Experience with PIM (Product Information Management) tools, Ecommerce Platforms (Hybris, Site Core, Magento), Enterprise Search (Endeca, Solr) and data quality a plus
  • Experience with business requirements gathering and technology implementations a plus
  • Solid work ethic, self-driven with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Client management skills are top-notch
  • Resource and budget management
