 Shiftgig is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to support its client acquisition, lead generation, and branding initiatives. This position will report to the Director of Marketing and is a crucial part of Shiftgig's ongoing development of its brand and voice, and will contribute to lead acquisition and new business growth.

The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for producing and managing content, updating and developing brand standards, leading content strategy, coordinating and managing cross-functional alignment, as well as helping develop and implement editorial processes for Marketing team. Manager will be working closely with other Marketing Managers and Design team to ensure integration, consistency and effectiveness of content across each medium, as well as offer strategic input for campaign execution.

What you'll do:
  • Responsible for all content marketing initiatives from creating an ongoing strategy, to ideation, creation, and editing
  • Lead content integration strategy with rest of organization, ensuring content is integrated into all other aspects of the company, such as sales, recruitment, branding, product, thought leadership and more. This includes communication around what is being published and how this content can benefit their efforts
  • Provide recommendations for distribution that will help drive traffic, engagement, leads primarily to drive client acquisition and retention and secondarily to drive user acquisition and general corporate awareness Coordinate with Marketing team to build and adjust strategy based on ongoing metrics reporting
  • This role requires a brand publisher mindset: create the content our audiences are looking for and then to optimize the path to conversion across distribution channels. As a dual-sided marketplace, our content must be tailored to multiple verticals and markets, as well as to B2B and B2C audiences
  • Lead cross-departmental collaboration to develop and deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet business objectives and determine where content can help solve problems and provide value
  • Manage and develop editorial calendar and organization workflows
  • Editorial requirements include moderate to advanced SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution strategy, and campaign measurement. This includes oversight and final approval, as well as periodic auditing of existing content, for tone and voice of all content creation across channels, including website content, landing pages, PR, etc.
  • Manage and research C-level conference presentation and follow-up content scheduled by PR Coordinator, as well as assist with conference and award submissions as needed
What you'll need:
  • BA/BS and equivalent working experience in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
  • Experience writing and creating long- and short-form content for web and social distribution, for both B2B and B2C audiences
  • Proven ability to create and execute a strategic content plan and measure ROI against business objectives
  • Experience with website content management systems like Hubspot; program knowledge of Google analytics, social channels, social listening tools like Meltwater; expert proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Word, and G-suite (Google docs)
  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-sufficient, enthusiastic attitude that thrives as an individual contributor to a collaborative team
