Our Product team is looking for a Content Strategist / Writer who is more than a copywriter. We need a storyteller, a design thinker, and a guardian of the user experience who meets customer needs with clear, consistent, and compelling content. 

Responsibilities:

• Plan and write content for web and mobile (across all touch points including interaction flows, product messaging, micro-content, UI labels, and small on-site ads)
• Project responsibilities include creating UI copy for site/product redesign on desktop and mobile. (Note this is not long form copy writing)
• Coordinate content with internal SEO team to ensure we create a consistent end-to-end experience
• Turn product requirements into a clear and engaging story for our customers
• Present your work and articulate your design thinking to teammates, product owners and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with design partners to influence page layout, interactions and visual design
• Use research to evaluate content decisions that lead to real business value
• Help to develop content standards, including voice and tone

Skills, Talents, Experience you’ll need:

• Excellent, highly creative communication and critical-thinking skills
• Keen understanding of UX principles and digital customer experience
• 5+ years of professional writing experience, with 3 years writing web and mobile content, preferably for interactive user experiences
• At ease setting stakeholder expectations, working individually and collaborating across teams
• Experience in B2C e-commerce is preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, HCI or related field
• Work samples required

Contract Length and Details

• Contract length is estimated at 4 weeks. During interview process candidate will help evaluate length of time required for work presented.
• We are looking for someone to sit with our product team onsite in the Chicago office
• Project work will take place throughout December and January (not including Dec 23-Jan 2)
