Email and Web Marketing Specialist

Role type: Contract (Hourly)Estimated hours: Full time (40 hours per week)
Length of contract: 9 months, with potential to extend
Target start date: June 1, 2017

Over the last year, the Braintree marketing team has grown significantly and has had the privilege of shaping and telling the Braintree story to next generation businesses all around the world. Reporting into the Marketing Manager, the Email and Web Marketing Specialist will be responsible for overseeing our email communications across the globe and managing regular website updates and reporting. This role will collaborate closely with Marketing, Design, Sales, and Operations stakeholders across the company.

We are looking for an email and web-savvy contractor with 5+ years experience in a fast-paced environment to support our marketing operations needs. The ideal candidate has a passion for developing, building, and optimizing global email programs from both a technical and creative perspective. A strong understanding of how to use web and email data intelligently to influence decisions and optimize key metrics is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Email operations (80%)
    • Own the email marketing channel at Braintree; responsible for managing, prioritizing, executing, and reporting on all email activities
    • Manage email requests from kickoff to launch
    • Oversee back-end data integration between Eloqua and Salesforce
    • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand campaign requirements and design email programs to reach targeted goals
    • Build and execute one time communications and automated email programs
    • Map out the global email process and identify opportunities to streamline
    • Record email metrics and build regular reporting cadence for ongoing programs
    • Create documentation for new email programs as they are built
  • Website operations (20%)
    • Own reporting and optimization for the Braintree website; responsible for managing, obtaining, and analyzing web data to make recommendations
    • Manage Google Analytics instance and make updates when required
    • Deliver regular web reporting on key business metrics
    • Run A/B tests to inform design and content decisions
    • Make recommendations for optimizing site performance

Skills required:

  • 5+ years web and email marketing experience
  • 2+ years using Eloqua, including 1+ years managing back-end integration with Salesforce
  • 1+ years experience using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • 1+ years experience with Salesforce database
  • Experience executing and optimizing automated email campaigns
  • Experience building out full-funnel reporting
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using Optimizely (or similar web A/B testing platform) is ideal
  • Understanding of global email regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic HTML skills
