Job Description

We’re looking to add a Controller to take charge of the accounting operations at Opternative. This will include the creation and maintenance of financial reports, upkeep of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Most importantly, you are very excited to join our small but growing team and take on whatever comes up on a given day to get the job done. 

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of Big4 audit experience, CPA preferred
  • Highly proficient with Excel 
  • Strong knowledge of Quickbooks or other ERP system
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Desire to build out finance and accounting department
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Self-starter that loves to create work rather than just wait for it to be assigned
What You'll Do
  • Build out FP&A function and drive the operations of the finance department
  • Create and manage tracking of financial KPIs and performance across departments, projects and products
  • Manage the all aspects of of GAAP, non-GAAP and Tax reporting
  • Maintain and manage capitalization table among all stakeholders
  • Own and support monthly budgeting, forecasting process and comparison to actuals
  • Proactively make recommendations and shares ideas on how to improve business processes to help financial health
