Reverb is seeking a Controller with strong character, high energy, a "get-it-done" mentality, and previous experience leading and mentoring teams as we rapidly scale our business. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to run a general accounting function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This is a high-impact role within our organization acting as the right-hand to our CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the general ledger and lead all accounting functions including revenue, AR/AP, seller payouts, payroll, taxes, cash management and international accounting including subsidiary reporting and intercompany eliminations.
  • Manage the monthly close process, including the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and all supporting documentation.
  • Help improve and maintain a strong internal control environment over all financial transactions.
  • Administer Quickbooks and other systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Help manage external relationships including auditors, tax specialists and other service providers, including international firms.
  • Own and manage our tax compliance requirements.
  • Oversee adherence to statutory filing requirements in U.S. and internationally.

Requirements:

  • You consider yourself a GAAP and financial accounting expert.
  • Tech industry (preferably marketplace and ecommerce) experience.
  • Dedicated to processes, procedures and documentation.
  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and great business acumen.
  • 7+ years of progressive operational accounting experience.
  • Track record of success with promotions and increased responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree and CPA required.
  • Experience with IFRS is a plus.
  • Big 4 experience is preferred.
