THE ROLE:
4C is growing at a rapid pace and is seeking a Corporate and Business Development role to further accelerate its growth.   The Corporate and Business Development lead will work closely with the Chairman and CEO and play a key role in creating 4C’s overall corporate and business development strategy.  Key to success will be to identify and prioritize opportunities and lead the company efforts in pursuing targets through acquisition and integration.  The role will report to the CEO. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall

  • Understand and assess the data analytics, media and advertising eco-system and identify key targets
  • Develop overall corporate and business development strategy for 4C and work closely with the 4C leadership to execute the strategy
  • Develop relationships within the industry and investment community attending relevant conferences and events.
  • Enlist and lead senior leadership through successful due diligence and integration

Inorganic Growth: 

  • Develop strategies and storylines for 4C targeted acquisitions
  • Identify and prioritize relevant companies in the data analytics, media and advertising eco-system evaluating their capabilities and skills to be leveraged and synergies
  • Perform specific detailed competitive landscape in new markets 4C is evaluating
  • Create and present deal recommendations and support negotiation efforts and LOI.

Buy Side: Align on strategies to move relationships from commercial to strategic to accelerate growth.

  • Develop & prioritize storylines and align Stakeholders on approach to Market
  • Engage iBanks and Advisor communities to build relationships and leverage market dynamics and introductions
  • Qualify initial targets with strategic PE firms and seek their support to engage prioritized commercial opportunities
  • Lead business development efforts from engagement to closing the deal

Business Development: Accelerate business growth through partnerships and other business development efforts

  • Work with the Product and Revenue teams in areas of partnership and business development focused on enhancing our data capabilities (e.g. TV, Video, Social), increasing our inventory offering, and enhancing our platform.
  • Identify key technology partners in the areas of Data Analytics, Marketing and Advertising Technology and SaaS Applications
  • Identify adjacent areas of growth, leveraging the tools (manpower, capabilities, technology) that 4C already has.
SKILLS & CAPABILITIES:
The ideal Corporate and Business Development leader will be pragmatic, strategic, and highly results oriented.  He or she must be able to execute without direct reports and be adept at building relationships and working through and with others.  Strategic, business and financial acumen is imperative.  He or she must also demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence.  The ideal candidate embraces ambiguity and creates structure to drive results. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven reputation and a track record of helping businesses increase their value through corporate and business development efforts. 
  • Experience conducting market assessments, building a corporate and business development strategy and executing on priority targets
  • Significant merger and acquisition experience:  facilitating deals and leading efforts from targeting through integration.
  • Work experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Corporate Development, Business Development, Product Marketing or Product Management roles
  • Industry experience in Media, Advertising, Ad/Marketing technology is a plus
  • Has a solid network that can be leveraged to build relationships and create opportunities
  • Ability to travel 25%-30% of the time
