Corporate Counsel: RXBAR is one of the fastest growing natural brands in the country and this explosive growth requires legal strategy, diligence and compliance. Corporate Counsel will work with company personnel and outside counsel to manage all legal needs. This role will involve drafting and maintaining company forms and records, negotiating and reviewing company agreements, coordinating legal work with outside counsel and advising company personnel.
General Functions + Job Responsibilities:
- Represent the companies’ legal interests in all matters as it relates to our contracts, regulatory compliance and strategic and operational decision making
- Create and optimize the full legal network of specialized third party legal firms
- Develop and lead an internal legal function as the needs arise
- Responsible for all record keeping and tracking of legal documents
- Facilitate all customer, supplier, vendor, and third party agreements with outside counsel
- Update internal departments with review status and terms and conditions that have direct correlation on a regular basis
- Negotiate and review non-disclosure, non-solicitation agreements, and other agreements
- Draft and create legal documentation and company forms in coordination with outside counsel
- Rationally support and advise the entire organization from a legal perspective without a hindrance on the pursuit of organizational objectives
Skills & Qualifications:
- Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an excitement for growing our business
- Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (J.D) required
- 8-10 years’ experience, with a focus on the food and beverage and/or CPG industry
- Ability to move quickly and confidently through legal review process
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality
