 SteelBrick is an emerging leader in the rapidly growing CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) market.  SteelBrick provides the next generation CPQ solution that is delivered natively on the Salesforce cloud and mobile computing platform.  SteelBrick serves over 250 leading hi-tech, medical products, and manufacturing customers and is growing 300% every year.  The company is led by a proven team of entrepreneurs and backed by $30M in capital from its leadership and Emergence Capital, Shasta Ventures, and Salesforce.com.  We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Corporate Development Manager to join our rapidly growing SteelBrick team.

 
The Corporate Development Manager partners closely with the company’s top leadership team  to drive corporate and strategic initiatives, drive global process and systems improvements, and evaluate and execute on strategic partnerships and acquisition opportunities. We are looking for a high energy individual who will interact and work across the organization to drive analytical rigor and strategic insight in our day-to-day operations. We seek exceptional candidates who are highly motivated, have a track record of academic and professional success, are driven to succeed and have enthusiasm and passion for SteelBrick. 
 
In this role you will provide reporting and analytical support to various business heads and their staff, requiring excellent communication skills, a strong business acumen, and the ability to think fluidly. The position requires in-depth knowledge of company strategy, revenue forecasting and analytics. 
 
Responsibilities:

  • Drive best practice processes and systems across globally the company in key areas identified by the company’s leadership
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business, analyze drivers of customer success, sales pipeline metrics and the financial impact on the overall company performance
  • Complete ad hoc analyses to drive market, operating, and partnering insights
  • Own various presentations which use data-supported approach
  • Deliver insightful analyses of market opportunities and drive valuation and strategic analyses of opportunities for SteelBrick
  • Assist in the identification, evaluation, negotiation and execution of joint venture, business development, and M&A opportunities
  • Build effective relationships with colleagues from across the organization
 
Desired Skills and Experience
  •  Experience at a management consulting, venture capital, or private equity firm, corporate strategy organization, or technology-focused investment bank.
  •  Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical ability, along with excellent business judgment.
  •  Experience doing industry research, competitive landscaping/comparisons, value chain analysis, modeling, and presentation.
  •  Proven ability to perform under deadlines
  •   Strong project management skills, including a proven ability to think through all aspects of the process, manage long-term projects and multi-task.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships successfully across teams.
  •   Experience in business software or related Internet industries preferred
  •  Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage details, and follow through in a fast-paced environment
  •   BS in Business, Economics, or Quantitative field.  MBA helpful.
