Customer Experience Marketing Intern
Grubhub connects more than 50,000 local restaurants with hungry diners in more than 1,000 cities across the United States. As a Marketing Intern, you’ll have a direct hand in defining and executing how we localize our marketing and sales efforts for Grubhub restaurant partners in a scalable way. This role has a direct impact on our marketing strategy and how we support a fast-growing business. This a unique opportunity for a self-starter, who enjoys making strategic decisions and executing on that strategy.
This is a paid internship located in our Chicago office.
Some Challenges You’ll Tackle
- Develop strategy for how we localize restaurant sales and marketing processes in a scalable way
- Conduct research to understand the competitive landscape, best-in-class localization experiences, and what our restaurant partners frequently ask for
- Audit existing communications and sales process to determine where local needs can be integrated
- Design a lead nurture program that aligns with Grubhub’s expansion strategy and surfaces up quality leads to our sales team
- Create engaging messaging and assets that highlight Grubhub’s value to restaurants
- Build an execution plan for the strategy and program you design, which could include new site features on get.grubhub.com, developing internal tools, and creating marketing assets
- Collaborate across Marketing, Sales, Operations, and our creative teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Demonstrated success in developing strategy and KPIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A preference for analytical rigor and comfortable working with data
- Ability to flex between highly strategic and executional work
- A history of working well cross-functionally
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently in a fast-pace environment
- A passion for restaurants and food in general
