The Data Analyst role will be a part of CRM & Retention Data Science team. This position is key to the continued growth of the GrubHub consumer business: You will be responsible for the data and process underlying multi-channel marketing, including targeted program release, monitoring and reporting. You will use your understanding of data, supporting data structures, metrics, reports, ETL processes, and ad hoc analysis providing actionable insights to inform and improve decision-making at all levels of the business. You're eager to grow and take on ever-increasing responsibilities.
Some Challenges You’ll Tackle- Partner with internal stakeholders to execute data strategies across multiple channels and understand their unique analytic requirements.
- Manage the data process behind retention-marketing preparation, release, and evaluation.
- Identify and document the business logic required to clean, normalize, and model disparate source data into a conformed and dimensional representation of our business.
- Build and maintain ETL processes underlying major programs
- Work with the rest of the CRM team to understand and quantify effects of multi-channel marketing.
- Help to develop actionable insight beyond standard reporting to drive strategic marketing direction.
- Help scope comprehensive A/B tests, making sure that we monitor all relevant metrics and that we’re learning at every step along the way.
- A degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, etc.) preferred but equivalent experience accepted
- 2+ years work experience
- Very Strong SQL Skills
- Strong quality assurance and business focus with keen attention to detail and good documentation habits
- Conceptual, non-technical understanding/familiarity with big data pipelines and flows
- Familiarity with statistical methods and experimentation (A/B testing) a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - can clearly and concisely communicate data concepts and issues to business users and team members
- Familiarity with data visualization
- Experience with Python or R is a plus
