The Data Analyst is a member of our Marketing team. The position is key to the continued growth of the Grubhub consumer business: you will be responsible for preparing targeting for marketing communications, reporting on a wide range of campaigns across various CRM channels: email, push notifications, and more. You will be responsible for the data and process underlying multi-channel marketing, including targeted program release, monitoring and reporting. You will use your understanding of data, SQL and metrics to help the data team target customers effectively and gain insights to inform and improve decision-making at all levels of the business. You will use Python to automate our targeting processes, reduce errors, and generate effective, easy to read reports.
Some Challenges You’ll Tackle- Use SQL to produce audience lists for ad hoc email campaigns. Collaborate with Finance and Product teams to define shared targeting criteria.
- Write Python scripts to automate targeting and reporting processes.
- Analyze engagement and order results of our CRM marketing campaigns. Draw insights and make recommendations for campaign optimization.
- Execute rigorous A/B tests and perform ROI analysis through the use of control groups to ensure efficiency of our marketing spend.
- Track performance of programs and build out reporting when necessary
- Learn and assist in build-out of data processes to support our data-driven marketing initiatives
- BS in analytical field, or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years SQL experience required. Knowledge of reporting platforms and tools a plus (Tableau, Google Analytics, etc)
- Hands-on experience with Python in a commercial environment required
- Self-starter looking to gain experience within data analytics and data science
- Hands-on experience with digital marketing a plus but not necessary
- Excellent communications, organization, team-work and follow-up skills
- Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects - and push and double down when necessary
- Detail-oriented and analytically minded
