We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the AI & Data Solutions Team at tronc, Inc. in our Chicago office. The team’s mission is to build solutions powered by data and machine learning to increase the value of existing digital assets and build new products and businesses that can take advantage of tronc’s data and business model.

As a Data Engineer with our AI & Data Solutions team, you'll spend your time helping us build an AI platform to move, manipulate, and extract value from our data across distributed systems at an ever-increasing scale. This platform will support machine learning models for multiple businesses, products, and assets separate from tronc’s core media properties but that rely much of tronc’s content and audience data.  You'll work closely with Data Scientists to help uncover and build data features that power machine learning models and to find new datasets to bring into the platform. You'll also contribute to designing and discovering new best-practices in our rapidly expanding field.
