What You'll Do:

As a Data Operations Manager, you will deliver high quality technical operations services to internal teams and clients that utilize the Uptake platform. You will directly manage a technical team by leading team members on goal setting, career roadmapping, and will provide continuous feedback on performance. You will execute technical operations projects and oversee incident response to ensure the long-term scalability and stability of our platforms in support of data quality, timeliness, and availability.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a development team: perform HR-related, performance management and interpersonal communication duties
• Collaborate with product management team and senior technical staff to meet product SLA’s with regards to data quality, timeliness, and availability.
• Coordinate and guide on-boarding of new products and pipelines to centralized data operations procedures as they are built.
• Work alongside product owners, engineering managers, architects, project managers, and other business stakeholders to ensure long-term success of products on the Uptake platform.
• Provide regular progress, roadblock and opportunity reports to senior management.

Required:

• BS in computer science or related field (preferred)
• 3+ years of management experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead Agile Scrum teams
• Familiarity with technical operations incident and outage response - procedures and best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Startup experience (preferred)
• Highly self-motivated with strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn and improve on existing approaches
• Experience with analytical tools, databases and methodologies.
• Experience with SQL / relational database development, Linux/Unix environments, AWS, and Elastic Search.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ETL tools (Informatica, SAP BODS, etc), monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Grafana, Greylog, etc) (preferred)
• Strong understanding of concepts and technologies behind big data and predictive analytics, predictive maintenance and the Industrial Internet of Things (preferred)
• Understanding of structure and usage of REST API’s and their integration with ETL process (preferred)
