ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Our Data / Quality Assurance Specialists review and improve the product data we make available on our platform in order to deliver on ItemMaster’s promise of "Every Brand, Everywhere." Our company works with global Consumer Packaged Goods companies and national grocery/drug/mass retailers to power “the digital shelf," ensuring that these brands are represented consistently and with integrity across every digital channel available.

This is an entry level role, and you should be a hands-on and driven person with a passion for data quality and integrity. You enjoy a fast-paced work environment and applying objective tests to data and imagery seeking to assure all our product records confirm to company standards. You are committed to process improvement and you are a self-starter, very comfortable with technology, resilient, and adaptable to changing circumstances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review product records against company standards. Product records include data such as brand content, UPC codes, nutritional information, and other attributes.
  • Review and edit text and descriptions in product records to ensure accuracy, clarity, and simplicity.
  • Identify errors or issues with product records and, using your own judgement and skill, you will correct the records or send the record to the appropriate department for further review or corrections
  • Partner with other departments to ensure high standards of product data integrity are reinforced across departments you work with
  • Keep and maintain a disciplined record-keeping and filing system to enable efficient audits and rapid research by other departments, including sales, customer service, and marketing

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Entry level role, but 1-3 years experience in data entry and/or data quality is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail
  • Comfortable with data, Excel spreadsheets, and web-based product management tools
  • Mindset of quality and continuous improvement
