About The Position

Raise is looking for a Data Quality Engineer to be part of our Engineering Team. As a Data Quality Engineer, you will work in an Agile environment as part of a core team responsible for empowering the company with data. This position will focus on profiling data to discover inconsistencies and other anomalies, as well as perform data cleansing activities to improve data quality. This will include analyzing data to develop quality guidelines and test plans, as well as executing routine tests to ensure the data is ready for use. You will be working closely with product managers and subject matter experts across the business to understand data sources.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and validate data quality standards and metrics
• Perform data quality assessment and measurement
• Lead the testing, QA infrastructure, root cause analysis and automation tasks for data quality
• Apply appropriate techniques to identify anomalies in data in motion and at rest
• Help our analysts and engineers build and optimize data pipelines to understand our large and ever-growing user base
• Implement data pipelines to automate the ingestion, transformation, and augmentation of both structured and unstructured data sources, and provide best practices for pipeline operations
• Work with Product Managers, Data Engineers and Data Analysts to implement solutions using Agile methodologies

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with data quality processes, data quality checks, validations, data quality metrics definition and measurement
• 5+ years working in a highly collaborative environment
• Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with OLTP and Warehousing platforms, specifically in ETL transformations of data in different forms and experience reconciling data in different formats
• Experience writing automated verification scripts to call API's and validate data in different systems
• Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem solving
• Ability to communicate technical concepts, possibilities, and limitations to a non-technical audience (product managers, business stakeholders)
• High attention to detail and constructive attitude in reviewing data
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable experience
