ParkWhiz is looking for an engineer to help us build the high-scale, mission critical infrastructure needed to support our web and mobile applications. This role will have considerable influence in choosing and implementing the technologies and tools needed to facilitate our immense growth.

Responsibilities

Work as part of the product team to:

• Make the experience of developing, testing and deploying code fast, easy, and fun!
• Provide leadership in a fast growing team regarding all things scaling, availability, release automation, capacity planning, analytics, and monitoring
• Administer and improve the tools used in the build, release, and production management
• Review, improve, and periodically test failure recovery and continuity plans
• Advocate for continuous integration, push button deploys, metrics dashboards, and other critical infrastructure that we need.

Requirements and Skills

• Experience with LAMP stacks, reverse proxies, cache servers, and other common web technologies
• Experience with configuration management system such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, etc
• Ability to write scripts and automate tasks with Ruby, Python, Perl, or other suitable languages
• Familiarity with popular cloud services and technologies
• Experience with monitoring and capacity planning tools
• Familiarity with the available tools and ability to suggest products to meet our needs
