POSITION PURPOSE:
ShopperTrak, the leading shopper analytics company is seeking a candidate with a successful integrated marketing track record, outstanding people skills, and technical expertise, who is a creative and innovative thinker. You will build and execute an integrated marketing plan, to include activities such as awareness, thought leadership, event marketing, public relations, social media marketing and advertising.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the implementation of the “operational marketing plan” developed in connection with the global marketing group. The priority will be to focus on customer needs in order to develop sales, customer loyalty and improve profit margins.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives. They will evaluate customer research; market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the marketing of company products and services.
• Demonstrate technical marketing skills and company product knowledge.
• Develop and execute an annual marketing plan in conjunction with global marketing team. This should detail the year’s activity to meet agreed company objectives.
• Budget management. To deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget.
• To conduct market research in order to identify market requirements for current and future brand positioning
• Overall marketing strategy and execution of plans for the existing products.
• Managing launch campaigns for new products.
• Ensuring effective, branded marketing communications including the company website, print communication, and advertising.
• Managing media and marketing staff and external PR agencies.
• Analysis of the effectiveness of all marketing efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
• Approximately 4-6 years of sales experience in the marketing industry.
• Experience with a company in a related company sector.
• Extensive experience of developing, maintaining and delivering on marketing strategies to meet company objectives.
• A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
• If applicable, a willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
• A proven ability to oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or public relations preferred
• Technology or retail experience desirable
