HumanCentric is currently seeking a data-driven and process-focused Director of eCommerce Operations to lead all operational aspects of our quickly-growing brand as we continue to rapidly expand our business.  You must have eCommerce operations experience to be considered for this role.

HumanCentric was founded in 2015 and is a profitable, high-growth company. Our product line is currently focused on mounting solutions for technology hardware (such as computer monitors and mini-computers), and we plan to expand our business to other product categories over the next two years. We ship thousands of orders per month to customers around the world.

To be a great fit for this job, you must have:

  • The ability to work both quickly and methodically. You create tremendous amounts of accurate, finished work much faster than other people you work with.
  • Experience with eCommerce operations for a physical product business or top-tier consulting experience with an operations focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The desire to work hands-on with a small team to grow a young company.
  • Extremely good organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
  • A strong bias toward execution. You love working independently and thrive when given freedom and flexibility.
  • A data-driven way of thinking and strong fluency in Excel. We do a lot of analysis and data management, so this is an extremely critical skill to have.
  • A high level of comfort with technology. We use tech a lot to do things faster, easier, and better; you don’t need to write code, but it would be good know what an API is.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of an Operations Associate, and - over time - building out our operations team.
  • Ensuring optimal inventory performance through careful analysis and planning.
  • Growing our fulfillment capabilities by selecting and setting up a 3PL warehouse relationship.
  • Selection and management of all operations technology, including a likely upcoming ERP implementation and the new release of our website
  • Overseeing our operational reporting.
  • Import and export oversight and coordination.
  • Oversight of the fulfillment process and coordination with our fulfillment partners.
  • Operational setup and integration with new eCommerce marketplaces or sales channels.

Had you been with us last month, you would have....

  • Worked with our US and China-based manufacturing partners to coordinate purchasing, manufacturing, and import logistics
  • Worked with software development partners to create custom software that automates our business processes
  • Interviewed and visited 3PLs to select the appropriate one to support our expanding business
  • Worked with Amazon to solve a complex inventory issue in their warehouse
  • Performed inventory analysis (lots of Excel number-crunching) and created a yearly manufacturing plan
  • Assessed new software offerings (help desk management, inventory analytics, ERP, etc.) for possible use
