 About the position:

RedShelf has grown over 400% YOY for the last 4 years and needs someone who can lead our marketing efforts and help us continue our rapid market expansion. In this exciting role, you'll drive all marketing efforts, build marketing campaigns, execute online and social media strategies, coordinate PR opportunities, define messaging and brand strategy, and support our sales team with innovative marketing tools, promotions, and events.

Job Responsibilities

 

·         Lead, direct and support marketing department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan.

·         Establish marketing project schedules (timelines, milestones and deliverables) and manage progress to ensure timely execution.

·         Develop and communicate clear, effective messaging campaigns that build industry awareness and clearly position RedShelf as an innovative market leader.

·         Execute effective, consistent public relations and outreach campaigns leveraging various media, analysts, events and other channels to build industry awareness.

·         Execute comprehensive and well aligned product launches with the tech team; develop, implement and manage compelling product messaging, collateral, success stories and other materials that effectively position products and ultimately meet and exceed sales objectives.

·         Leverage content and oversee our affiliate program, retargeting campaigns, social media and other online platforms to execute an effective web strategy for B2C targeting.

·         Develop and implement effective sales support programs, including (but not limited to) sales collateral, email campaigns, trade show arrangement and other lead-generation activities.

·         Assist with our web development team to enhance & optimize our website and online presence; ensure content is comprehensive, current, accurate and easy to navigate/find.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/Qualifications:

·         A hands-on leader with exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills;

·         Proven ability and experience building and leading strong, effective marketing teams;

·         Attention to detail to consistently deliver clear, high-quality output;

·         At least 5+ years of experience;

·         Willing to work out of our downtown Chicago office and travel for business as necessary;

·         Available some weekends for tradeshows and company events.

 

Other desirable skills/Experience

·         Knowledge and appreciation of the advances in higher educational software and digital publishing;

·         Background in educational technology and/or publishing;

·         Experience effectively managing individuals and teams

·         Experience with start-up environments.
