Director of Marketing
Job Brief:
We are looking to hire a Director of Marketing to own all BenchPrep product marketing efforts for the enterprise market segment including go-to-market strategy, value proposition and sales tools across all product and service offerings.
The Director of Marketing will play a critical, hands-on role in the development and execution of the marketing strategy in support of the overall company strategy, specifically the effective product marketing of BenchPrep’s solutions.
The Director of Marketing will be accountable for understanding the critical business issues of BenchPrep’s target market segments and defining the differentiated market value of BenchPrep as a solution to those issues.
The Director of Marketing will also partner closely with the Product Management and Sales organizations to enable those teams to more effectively develop a solution roadmap to best serve the future needs of the market.
The Director of Marketing will be a strategic thinker, a hands-on practitioner, and a content engine, able to effectively manage projects and drive to execution.
Responsibilities:
- Create customer needs based narratives and differentiated value propositions to support the new customer acquisition, upsell and retention goals of the organization.
- Lead the Marketing and Brand Strategy development campaign
- Synthesize field, customer, partner and market feedback combined with market research to understand and clarify market problems, current solutions, key metrics and buying processes for the enterprise segment.
- Develop sales tools including presentations, playbooks, videos, white papers, customer success stories, product demonstrations, financial tools and enterprise segment selling strategies.
- Be an expert with respect to competition in the Certification Prep segment.
- Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our owned properties (including blog posts, white-papers, ebooks, reports, webinars, infographics, etc.).
- Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
- Work closely with professional services and account management on key accounts as related to product strategy and delivery.
- Moderate and be the voice of the community and the translator between the users and core internal stakeholders.
- Influence product roadmap, feature releases and business strategy by understanding market and customer dynamics and advocating for the right investments.
- Participate and speak at conferences as a BenchPrep evangelist and thought leader.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product marketing, go-to-market experience in Enterprise SaaS space
- Demonstrated ability driving results in high growth, innovative and fast paced environment
- C-Level/Client joint marketing and sales support experience a plus
- Proficiency in marketing automation in order to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them (using dynamic workflows) into converted customers.
- Understands and effectively operates within the environment of a high-growth technology company.
- Exceptional copywriting and editing skills.
