You will:
Work effectively with product managers, project managers, development team leads and senior management to allocate development resources, while balancing current client needs with the long-term product roadmap
Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects related web development, data analytics, third-party integrations and back-end services
Implement processes and metrics to ensure the software development teams are efficient, and track progress to goals
Investigate and take firm steps to resolve software quality issues
You will lead and inspire a team of highly-skilled software engineers who are changing the way enterprise companies recruit new talent and humanize the candidate experience.
You are passionate about building complex, secure and high-quality software. You are able to work effectively across multiple disciplines, possess an open and collaborative work style and can translate business objectives into functional and nonfunctional requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
8+ years professional web platform development experience and 5+ years of experience managing software developers and engineering managers
Must possess the ability to effectively manage upwards by instilling confidence in executive leadership and communicating the appropriate information at the right time
Must have experience in planning, architecting and delivering mission-critical enterprise-grade systems and solutions
Expert skill level in one or more object oriented programming languages; Ruby is strongly preferred
You have practical experience working with both monolithic apps and those built on service-oriented architectures, and an appreciation of the relative merits of each. (Experience supporting a migration from one to the other is a major plus.)
Working knowledge of incident management methodologies
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to complete long-term projects, and prioritize competing or conflicting requests
Familiar with AWS and reference architectures for web applications
Demonstrate knowledge of information security and its role in web applications
As Yello’s Director of Web Platform, you will lead the architecture, design and implementation of our web applications. You will help development teams deliver high-performing, secure and high-quality software, while contributing to Yello’s product strategy and the product roadmap.
