Sprout Social’s marketing team is looking for an experienced Web Strategist to join the team. In this role, you will drive conversion and increase customer acquisition growth by creating compelling and highly converting web experiences. The Sprout Social platform is used by more than 19,000 brands around the world. Companies like Dropbox, Zendesk, Google, and Evernote rely on Sprout to create stronger relationships with their customers through social media.

You will be responsible for managing the strategy, creation and optimization of all of Sprout Social’s web properties and will work with our Product Marketing, Brand Strategy and Content teams to ensure our website is effectively telling our story, providing clarity into the business challenges our product solves. The ideal candidate should be obsessed with improving customer experiences that can drive an optimization strategy, build effective cross-team collaboration, and manage rapid A/B testing to continuously learn and improve.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that our web properties are up to date, properly positioning our solutions and communicating the value that Sprout delivers to its customers
  • Establish a foundation for managing multiple high-performing web properties
  • Create and maintain a process for defining, planning, executing, testing and optimizing web properties with multiple objectives
  • Be an influential voice for best practices in design, web development and technology and be passionate about the role our web properties can play in providing value to users
  • Plan, prioritize and manage website initiatives from stakeholders across the organization, as well as your own
  • Work with the Marketing, Product Marketing, Design & Development teams on both short- and long-term infrastructure, roadmap and goals for each web property
  • Develop strategies for improving website conversion rates for acquiring new customers
  • Enable the rest of the organization to acquire data to ensure effectiveness of digital properties
  • Support the involvement of the SEO team and implementation of SEO best practices in projects
  • Build and manage a team focused on research, optimization and analysis
  • Establish a process with Development for incremental technology advancements while maintaining an environment that can continue to deliver results for the the organization
  • Analyze web metrics and customer activity to identify the highest impact opportunities
  • Continuously run A/B and multivariate tests to iteratively improve conversion

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years experience in a marketing, web strategy or optimization role
  • Experience with owning full-scale website redesign, rebuild or replatform projects
  • Experience working with content creators, marketers, designers and developers
  • A demonstrated understanding of the different specialist skill sets that are required to deliver successful websites, including web design, front end development, backend development, user experience and quality assurance
  • Strong presentation skills with an ability to communicate technical principles effectively between technical and non-technical groups
  • Strong analytical abilities and extensive experience with A/B testing
  • Experience building and managing high-performing, multi-discipline teams
  • Proficiency with statistics preferred
  • Experience using tools like Google Analytics, CrazyEgg, Hotjar, Maxymiser, VWO or Optimizely
  • Ability to present data, findings, and recommendations that are appropriate for senior level management
  • Any SEO, SEM, HTML, CSS, Javascript, UX or copywriting skills are a plus
  • Self-driven, results orientated with a positive outlook, and a clear focus of high quality and business profit
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and resources
  • Strong attention to detail
