Email Marketing Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:
- This role will be highly involved in the execution of complex campaigns and initiatives in the email channel, and will have the opportunity to help shape the growth of the Home Chef email program.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Build emails using responsive HTML/CSS. Manage existing templates and build out additional templates for more widespread use by support/culinary/outreach teams.
- Design and execute customer journeys and action-based triggers.
- Plan, execute and optimize promotional and transactional email campaigns
- Assist in the build and deployment of various recurring emails, including the weekly menu mailer and anti-skip campaigns, as well as frequent ad hoc campaigns
- Routinely audit existing triggered emails to ensure they are sending successfully and monitor/diagnose deliverability and/or performance issues
- Assist in the development and execution of testing strategy as well as the creation of new emails and optimization of existing communications
- Provide periodic reports on the performance of scheduled campaigns
- Initiate improvements to email messaging based on industry best practices and prior successful tests
- Conduct thorough QA testing on all emails to ensure they render appropriately in all major email clients
- Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, spelling and accessibility
- Collaborate with content, technology and others in marketing to successfully execute strategy
- Help build the strategy and execute on other communication platforms (e.g. push, SMS, and direct mail communication) as well as contributing to the development of strategy for the email program
- Stay up to date on industry and email marketing trends to help identify new opportunities
Qualifications:

- 2-3 years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing or a related field
- Experience with enterprise level ESPs (Salesforce/Exacttarget preferred) or marketing automation software
- Strong project management skills
- 2+ years experience in HTML/CSS (responsive coding preferred)
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and SQL preferred
- Familiar with deliverability best practices and CAN-SPAM laws
