Email Marketing Manager
The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for strengthening GoHealth’s relationship with its customers via rules-based email marketing in order to increase their lifetime value to the company. This person will be managing the creation, execution, and optimization of targeted lifecycle campaigns to retain customers, convert prospects, and build positive interactions with users who interact with GoHealth. This includes determining the optimal customer lifecycle/journey based on existing and learned metrics. The Email Marketing Manager will work closely with the marketing and operations teams to optimize conversion, coordinate marketing messaging, and report on campaign results.
Additionally, this person must be a subject-matter expert in email creation, targeting, and delivery, as this individual will not only be a primary user for these tools but also be responsible for the use of these as communication streams across the organization.
The Email Marketing Manager will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Consumer Marketing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create, execute, and optimize email outbound marketing campaigns to influence and maintain the consumer lifecycle.
- Determine the optimal customer journey for a health insurance shopper based on existing and discovered data.
- Act as the primary owner of both email and texting platforms, continually testing ideas to increase conversions and interactions, lower costs, and increase program value.
- Manage outbound messaging unit costs, vendor relationships, and necessary functionality to drive marketing campaigns.
- Work with the marketing, design, and operations
teams to create high-quality material and coordinated messaging.
- 4+ years of hands-on email marketing experience.
- Direct experience optimizing email performance
using delivery platforms like MailChimp and ExactTarget, optimization platforms like Email on Acid or
Litmus, and reputation management platforms like Return Path.
- Experience with lifecycle, lead generation, or customer
relationship management marketing programs.
- Experience or familiarity with marketing
automation and customer journey tools such as Autopilot, Marketo, Salesforce,
and Hubspot
- Experience leveraging task automation and data
routing tools like Zapier and Segment
- Experience with web analytics tools such as
Google Analytics, Adobe SiteCatalyst, Heap.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
