ABOUT THE ROLE

Trunk Club is expanding its in-house agency to incorporate special events as a means to engage various audiences in-person and strengthen relationships with the Trunk Club brand. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Event Manager to join our growing team.

This candidate will be based in Chicago and oversee event planning, execution and associated post event analysis and reporting for initiatives spanning our Chicago, Los Angeles and Dallas locations in addition to supporting the Sr. Manager, Events in building overall strategy that aligns closely with marketing goals and business drivers. As Trunk Club looks to expand its Events division, the Event Manager will play a key role in making the strategic vision come to life across designated Clubhouse facilities, offsite activations and as a part of integrated marketing campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage entire event pipeline for internal and partner events in given territory from conception through execution, delivering on-message and on-budget results
  • Ensure that event execution is flawless and in line with KPI’s set forth by event stakeholders
  • Support efforts to evaluate, conceptualize and execute co-branded events and sponsorship activations with external partners
  • Manage relationships with internal event ambassadors to ensure Clubhouse events are executed within brand standards
  • Participate in brainstorming meetings and make meaningful contributions to event strategy
  • Assist internal departments in planning corporate events, recruiting events, trade shows and networking events
  • Support efforts for remote pop up events and roadshow activations both internally and alongside external brand partners
  • Research, solicit and negotiate competitive terms with external vendors and event partners with the goal of building strong long-term relationships
  • Take ownership of targeted event programs within internal business initiatives(for example: B2B initiatives) within a given Clubhouse or region, working to develop a strategy that drives engagement, revenue and customer acquisition

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience planning, executing and analyzing consumer facing lifestyle & B2B events, preferably within an in-house marketing department or in-house agency
  • Capability to communicate a clear vision
  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful marketing events
  • Experience building and maintaining vendor relationships
  • Strong decision making skills and willingness to independently gather information necessary
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to be flexible in shifting priorities
  • Experience with thriving in an extremely fast-paced creative environments
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Flexibility to manage owned events, even when outside of business hours. Some nights and weekends may be required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google platforms, along with basic Photoshop and Acrobat skills
  • Sense of humor and egoless ownership of projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
