Overview:

Rise Interactive (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full-service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire an Events Manager AKA Events Marketer. We are looking for a cutting-edge innovator and progressive thinker who will plan, develop, and execute event strategy and production.  This person must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, highly motivated and a creative individual that is excited about getting involved in an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.

 

The Events Manager will be responsible for developing, organizing and executing all aspects of trade shows, conferences, partner events, and/or meetings for the agency.  He/she will be responsible for all operations, implementation and post-event activities. Reporting to the Associate Director of Events, the Events Manager will have key responsibilities with the agency’s marketing, digital strategy (new business), account management, and client services teams, as well as any outside vendors to increase Rise’s presence and generate leads in the marketplace.  This person must be energized by big ideas in order to create unique and memorable events where guests are able to connect with Rise Interactive – our brand, our people, and our work.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and execute dynamic and exciting events to increase Rise’s brand awareness, engagement, and business development
  • Work with the Associate Director, Events to manage, develop, and define appropriate plans and strategies to support the company’s sales and marketing goals through various events
  • Coordinate co-branded events with our top partners
  • Identify and maintain a calendar of events/conferences where Rise should participate
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on event logistics and communications
  • Manage external vendor relationships, inclusive of negotiating budgets, contracts, and POs
  • Establish staff schedules, task assignments, equipment allocation to ensure conformance with department objectives and goals
  • Proactively communicate status and identify issues affecting overall ability to manage internal expectations
  • Manage the invite process, registration process, and post-event attendee communication process
  • Determine appropriate venues per event requirements
  • Maintain database of potential conference speakers and secure as needed for events
  • Create, design, and coordinate comprehensive production budgets for each event
  • Provide accurate estimations for deliverables
  • Implement ways to provide continuous improvement to the seamless execution of events
  • Track attendance and interaction between prospective and current clients to review agency engagement
  • Comfortably and confidently deliver presentations to internal audiences and be able to represent Rise’s marketing initiatives to external partners
  • Provide post-event analysis, budget recaps and participant feedback and incorporating learning into future events
  • Develop, manage and distribute metrics and success criteria for event efforts
  • Assist with additional marketing projects as needed
Required Skills:

 

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Event Management or related field required. Conference

experience a plus

  • Strong knowledge of event design and event planning concepts
  • Proven ability to take direction and input and to develop effective and engaging branded events that will achieve organizational goals
  • Exhibit extreme professionalism and provide quality event expertise in order to create

one-of-a-kind, extraordinary events

  • Exceptional ability to see events through all phases of implementation while maintaining timelines, maintain budgets and effectively manage expenses
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Deadline oriented and creative problem-solver
  • Outstanding organization, business fundamentals and project management skills
  • Extremely high standards of excellence and success
  • Tremendous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and present your  ideas to various levels of an organization to explain and gain support for initiatives
  • Experience with Pardot and Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional settings
  • Works independently, self-reliant, able to self-motivate
  • Ability to travel is required

 

Education

Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business or related field
