You are an experience architect with a relentless focus on creating remarkable mobile experiences. You are an expert with wireframe design and are able to turn any business requirement into an efficient and impressive solution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, intuitive, and possesses a keen understanding of technology as it affects user experiences.
We are the experience design team within the Mobile Solutions Group (MSG). MSG is part of the Professional Services offering at Vibes. We are a group of passionate engineers in love with technology working for a software company in the fast paced mobile arena. Culture is king for us. We focus on collaboration and constant improvement with our products and ourselves. We care about the software that we develop and strive to have the biggest business impact we can with our work. This is a full-time position located in downtown Chicago at 300 West Adams.
Responsibilities:
- Is self-driven and able to execute design tasks independently
- Create immersive and engaging experiences that are useful to users and promote our client’s businesses
- Collaborate with the creative, technology and customer success teams to help define project goals, brainstorm ideas and recommend initial solutions from user standpoint.
- Work with internal teams and customers to understand their desired outcomes and help define the best user experience to meet those
- Facilitate discussions of the user experience to expose key questions and requirements.
- Work with internal teams to define user stories and use cases based on finalized requirements and goals.
- Provide deliverables including prototypes, proof of concept documents, wire frames, user flows, use cases, and user scenarios
- Review analytics data and customer behavior that inform the mobile experience
- Champion usability and user experience within the Mobile Solutions Group
- Effectively articulate user experience issues and concerns and overall design principles to team members and clients.
Relevant Experience:
- You’ve worked directly with product managers, business, creative and development teams to assist in the definition of project requirements.
- You’ve designed for experiences ranging from desktop to mobile (iOS and Android) and have a good understanding of responsive design.
- Proven design experience at tech company or interactive agency and examples of successfully launched projects that demonstrate strategic, conceptual and creative thinking
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree along with 4-5 years of experience in interaction design, information architecture, user experience strategy or other related area
- Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology – particularly in mobile design across iOS and Android platforms
- Understands interactive experiences, channels, and design principles
- Knowledge of Web and Mobile standards, technologies, and terminology
- Demonstrated experience solving usability issues in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Extensive experience creating wireframes and user flows
- Experience with InDesign, Sketch, Axure or similar tools for diagramming
- Exceptional communication – both written and verbal
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Exceptionally organized and able to switch between different projects in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for mobile and for solving difficult, user experience problems in the simplest, most elegant way.
- Ability to understand new technologies and keep on top of product changes and their impact
