You are an experienced design leader with a strong sense of user experience (UX) & service design, who lives for new challenges and consistently delivers on your commitments. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems in unexplored territories. You get excited about all aspects of an agile user experience design process and look forward to leading initiatives and collaborating with clients, developers, and other designers to meet objectives.

This position is based in our home office, located in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. We also offer a competitive compensation package.

• Embody both passion and expertise in all digital experiences
  (web, mobile, and other preferred)
• Reinforce and champion our human-centered methodology
• Utilize and guide our key techniques in Iterative Design, Rapid Design Labs, Graphic Design, Sketch Sessions, Information Architecture & Design, Immersion, and user research
• Demonstrate strong storytelling skills that convey user and business value
• Takes a service-oriented approach to collaborating with clients, and internal groups members: Product Owners, Engineers, and fellow Designers, to define user/product user experiences aligned with client goals and objectives
• Directs, coaches, and manages the Interaction Design team
• Pivot between high level product concept discussions and the low level implications of those discussions
• Develop or contribute to key deliverables such as:
• - User Flows
• - Experience maps
• - High-fidelity, annotated wireframes
• - Low fidelity prototyping
• - Usability Testing scripts and reports

• Exercise extreme attention to detail in all aspects of your work
• Exercise versatility in adapting to feedback
• Establish and reinforce consistent interaction and design patterns across digital platforms
• Maintain a strong desire to learn and implement new interaction design standards and practices
• Communicates clearly and concisely

• 8+ years of design experience working with real life projects (if freelance, be able to provide in-depth explanation and examples of previous 3 projects)
• Client management skills, either agency or independent work
• Direct management and coaching of team members and peers
• A portfolio showing a proven process and exceptional design thinking
• Proven experience with responsive web and mobile design standards (specifically iOS, Android)
