Shotfarm is well on its way to solving a $5B retail industry problem by centralizing the exchange of product content (images, videos, descriptions, and specifications) between retailers and manufacturers. Since its release in 2010, adoption of the platform has topped 7,500 companies and continues to double each year. We are looking for a highly-successful B2B marketing professional to further cement our brand in the Retail Marketing Industry and help bring exciting new products to market in 2015.

The External Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Marketing to execute a marketing plan focused on attracting non-Shotfarm members in the retail and manufacturing industry.

Our perfect candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be willing to take on the risks and rewards of an exciting, funded internet start-up, and be overflowing with new ideas.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with Director of Marketing to articulate the strategy for growing brand and product awareness as well as membership.
  • Help in the execution of all inbound and outbound marketing efforts.
  • Evaluate and utilize traditional paid advertising and paid search channels as appropriate.
  • Implementation of social media marketing plans.
  • Foster a sense of community that encourages greater engagement and investment from its members and promotes word-of-mouth sharing for amplified impact on the community.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of forward-thinking marketing experience in high tech. Online retail experience a plus.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal skills.
  • Proven track record of successful marketing strategy development and implementation.
  • Deep understanding of how to build relationships, communicate and add value to a customer base through blogs, forums, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and other social channels.
  • Marketing automation experience. HubSpot a plus.
  • A strong knowledge of SEO tactics.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Able to communicate authentically inside and outside the company.
  • A self-directed individual who knows what needs to be done and operates with urgency, focus and discipline.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a high energy, fast growth, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • A creative mind offering new strategies and ideas for growth.
  • Knowledge of MAC-based systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
