When we first launched on December 1, 2015, our business was a craft beer marketplace that delivered delicious, small-batch local craft beers to offices throughout the city. Crafty soon evolved into a full-service kitchen, bar, and events partner for offices in Chicago. Some of our biggest name customers are Google, Uber, Yelp, the Chicago Cubs, Trunk Club, WeWork, and Coyote Logistics!
From hot coffee to cold brew coffee, from kegs of craft beer to bottles of Bud Light, from LaCroix to Coke Zero, from Fritos to Skinny Pop, from coffee cups to plastic silverware, and from kitchen operators to bartenders, we offer a truly comprehensive product portfolio.
With our growth comes an expanding need for financial wizz-i-ness! We’re looking for a Financial Clerk who can take the lead on organizing some of Crafty’s financial operations.
Who We Are Looking For:
We have designed effective systems for our financial management, and as we continue to grow, these systems will need to adapt! We are looking for someone with experience in managing financial operations who can bring a fresh perspective to the way we do things. Critical thinking is key to our continuous improvement.
Currently, there are two primary realms to our financial operations:
- Accounts Payable
Accounts Payable Management
Week End Projections of Inbound Payments Coming
- Accounts Receivable
Accounts Receivable Management
Week End Reporting of AR Aging Report

Attention to detail: presenting accurate numbers and models to the team
Organization: balancing a host of different daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities
Self-directed learner: appreciating that the ability to learn can counteract any lack of experience
Communication: communicating clearly and professionally to our clients, both written and verbal.
Qualifiers:
CPA (not a requirement)
Accounting experience
Our people mean everything to us, and building the structure to support our family as it continues to grow will have a tremendous impact in enabling our growth today and shaping the company that we become. During your first month, you will be expected to come to our office everyday for training. After this initial period, you can work from home or a different preferred location!
Compensation:
You will be awarded an hourly pay rate of $15/hour, where we expect 20 hours per week.
