Freelance Copywriter
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

As a Freelance Copywriter at One North, you’ll be responsible for working across our organization with our creative, brand and UX strategy teams, to generate and execute compelling and brand-focused content for our clients. Help us craft branded experiences and also build hard-working pieces of content. Collaborate with business leaders on turning business strategy into clear communications. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with our creative services team in determining the copy direction for client projects and internal communications
- Deploy consistent tone, style and brand across various touch points
- Convey a creative vision, with a consistent story, across all mediums of communication
- Execute copy concepts that accomplish the client’s strategic objective
- Clearly communicate the thinking and concepts behind your creative messages
- Contribute unique perspectives in team brainstorm and concept creation sessions
- Transform highly technical industry jargon into engaging copy that effectively excites the intended audience
- Ensure your copy is within compliance of established brand guidelines
- Synthesize and deliver ideas in a clear, client-focused direction
- Contribute creative and strategic concepts to internal marketing and experience design teams
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Experience writing for B2B, legal or other professional services organizations (PSOs)
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications or related field
- Excellent grasp of the written word, with a comfort in writing across various mediums
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to navigate digital copy decks efficiently
- Fluency in modern media practices, particularly involving design and marketing concepts
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities at any given time
- Ability to analyze complex problems and come to an optimal solution
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to set priorities
- Passion for all things digital
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
