Role summary: 

The Product Maintenance Engineer is focused on supporting enhancement and maintenance needs of Zest’s existing health navigation product suite, including API, internal tools (web) and mobile application.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Participate and offer opinions in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
  
• Architect front-end solutions using the latest technologies including ReactJS, Phonegap, Webpack, Yarn, Moment, Gulp, JSON, AJAX, JQuery and ES5/ES6 JavaScript syntax
  
• Make web content responsive by using BootStrap and media queries in CSS
  
• Assist and work independently on database design and architecture for new features or change requests
  
• Write SQL to create, modify and delete tables, views, stored procs, etc.
  
• Use C# and adhere to the system architecture including the separation of concerns between the various layers
  
• Use LINQ to efficiently query the database and filter lists. Integrate with third-party APIs and ensure proper checks and balances are in place when calling these APIs so that troubleshooting is easier  

Primary outcomes:

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure deliverables are met each sprint (bug fixes, enhancements)
  
• Ensure that the full tech suite (API, web, mobile) is functional for current users
  
• Give daily status and raise concerns about any roadblocks
  
• Deliver high quality and maintainable code
  

 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in .NET web application development
  
• 3+ years with MVC.NET web framework
  
• Experience with SQL Server 2008 and newer
  
• Experience with hybrid mobile solutions
  
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  
• Experience with Angular, React and/or Knockout a plus
  
• Experience with or exposure to cloud host providers (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  
• Experience with an ORM system (Telerik OpenAccess / Entity Framework)
  
• Knowledge of responsive frameworks
  
• Web integration using SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, etc.
  
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
  
• Ability to work independently
  
• Knowledge of the Healthcare Industry and HIPAA compliance a plus
