Job Description:
We are currently looking for a General Manager to lead BioSpawn, our largest private label brand. We believe that BioSpawn can easily double or even triple in size in the next few years and we are seeking a hustler to chase down these ambitious goals. Management of BioSpawn is currently spread across several team members who spend the majority of their time doing other things, but the GM will be the first team member to focus primarily on BioSpawn and will be responsible for BioSpawn’s entire P&L. The role may grow to encompass additional private label brands as they reach scale.
You will be responsible for…
Managing the Biospawn brand from end-to-end while hitting growth targets
Managing relationships with wholesalers and retailers
Managing the Product Development pipeline
Collaborating with centralized functions like Sourcing, Marketing, Fulfillment and Finance to meet BioSpawn’s needs
Developing an inventory strategy
Managing backend processes in the short-term and implementing scalable backend solutions as the business grows
We are looking for candidates with the following relevant experience/skill sets:
2-5 years of analytic experience in consulting, financial services or an equivalent corporate role
Hustle
Resourcefulness
Ability to develop a compelling long-term strategic vision, and to manage towards it
Instinct for brand building
Strong communication skills (client service or sales experience a plus)
Ability to be a strong ambassador for the BioSpawn brand within our industry
Long-term interest in running a business
Intermediate Excel experience
Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
Understanding of the fishing market a plus
