About The Position

The Head of Security and Infrastructure is responsible for directing and implementing infrastructure as well as security best practices that drive operational excellence at Raise. You will participate in the design, build and deployment of all our security-focused features. The ability to weigh business risks and enforce appropriate IT security measures within a fast-paced environment is a must. The Head of Security will establish a global information security program and ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all corporate assets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of 6-10 direct reports in service desk, security, systems administration, networking and desktop engineering
  • Direct problem management activities including review recurring incidents and patterns, identify root-cause and execute remediation/resolution tasks in conjunction with third party partners
  • Work cross functionally with engineering and product to create short and long term strategies for identity & access management, data security, governance and risk, threat management, intrusion detection and application security.
  • Oversee IT architecture, infrastructure and standards for computing, voice and data networks to support the business needs and maintain compliance.
  • Oversee an annual infrastructure and security budget
  • Identify future trends, standards, issues, and opportunities surrounding technology that could impact existing strategies or lead to conception of new ones.
  • Acquire, train and maintain security and IT staff
  • Interview and hire employees, provide initial and advanced training, cross training, and appropriate backup
  • Monitor performance and provide feedback and coaching, handle promotions, transfers, and discipline, provide work direction and delegate responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a leadership role directing infrastructure and security initiatives from a strategic and tactical perspective.
  • 3+ years experience successfully managing infrastructure or security staff with a “not afraid to get my hands dirty” kind of mentality
  • Mac and PC Knowledge, including Windows 10 and Mac OS, as well as major mobile device operating systems
  • Must be an intelligent, articulate, and persuasive leader who can communicate security and infrastructure related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, TCP/IP networking, telecommunications and wireless infrastructure
  • Knowledge of advanced remote collaboration technologies such as video conferencing, Unified communications and others
  • Ability to multi-task and handle on a proactive basis, changing priorities in a fast-paced technology company in order to maximize time-management and efficiencies
  • Knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, ISO, NIST, PCI, SOX and privacy laws
  • B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Information Management, or relevant field required
  • CISSP is a plus!
