Making a Difference
We are looking for someone with a passion for HR to assist the responsibilities of Origami’s HR department. This positive and approachable individual must be able to work in collaboration with other colleagues in a highly self-driven culture. This individual must be able to think on their feet and successfully thrive within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This position is located in our Chicago headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR services to include but not limited to HR compliance and audits, processing new hire related paperwork, benefits administration, recruitment, and online records management in HRIS
- Administrative support of all HR initiatives and office operational needs
- Maintain current knowledge of federal and state labor laws and guidelines
- Complete HR research and projects as assigned
- Assist colleagues with HR related questions and tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or other related field
- 2+ years of professional work experience in HR support, administration and/or office operations
- Understanding of basic HR; to include benefits administration and recruitment
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge in software applications; specifically HRIS and ATS systems
- Creative problem-solver with ability to identify and implement solutions
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong business ethics, ability to take direction and work independently
- PHR certification preferred
