What you’ll do:
If you are an HR professional who strives on continuously finding new and better ways to manage and execute critical HR systems and processes in a growth environment, this may be the perfect role for you.  The HR Operations Lead role is located in our US office in downtown Chicago and reports to the Head of HR.  In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the HR function is positioned now and in the future to support our growing business by delivering HR services and support that enable our employees and managers to focus on what they do best.  

Through your blended knowledge and experience in developing and automating processes through HRIS, supporting the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs, and managing successful on-boarding and off-boarding programs and processes, you’ll play a key role in delivering on our goal to provide an incredible employee experience.  Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead our current and future HRIS implementations and enhancements to drive efficiencies, enhance access to information, and improve people analytics
  • Play a lead role in the on-going evaluation and improvement of our compensation and benefits programs by providing strong consultative guidance, support and execution on potential changes and enhancements
  • Support the administration of our compensation programs to include conducting market pay analysis, job evaluations, and the establishment of improved tools and resources to support pay decisions
  • Lead the administration of our benefits plans to include working with our Broker, ensuring effective execution of plans, handling escalated issues, managing plan documents, and meeting all audit requirements
  • Ensure effective and efficient on-boarding and off-boarding programs, policies and procedures are in place to appropriately balance the needs of our employees with a growing business
  • Oversee our immigration processes to include partnering with outside counsel, design and interpretation of internal policies, and effective internal communications with key stakeholders
  • Work with Manager and in house counsel as appropriate to ensure we are ahead of changes in all employment laws related to pay, benefits and management of confidential information

What you’ll need:

  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience across most/all areas of responsibility 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Ability to provide strong consultative expertise within HR and across business leaders
  • Track record of driving effective change through strong project management and execution
  • Ability to flex between long term thinking and day-to-day execution
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Working knowledge of related employment laws
