Overview of Position:

Divvy is seeking an experienced Human Resources & Administrative Manager who will provide support to all staff in order to ensure successful operations of the bike share system. This person will be responsible for building on Divvy’s culture and policies to shape the experience of up to 150 Divvy employees. This is a critical senior leadership role in an evolving industry that’s changing the landscape of the Chicago region and has impacted the way more than 1 million people have gotten around and explored the City.

The Human Resources & Administrative Manager will reported to the General Manager and will: partner with management to develop themselves and their teams, create growth opportunities for all employees, adhere to the union contract, and build on a mission-driven culture that’s committed to innovation, inclusion, and integrity throughout the organization.

Key Aspects of Position:

  • Provide administrative support to all Divvy staff, including new hire paperwork, benefits and payroll administration, Worker’s Compensation claims, and HRIS management; maintain company/employee files

  • Manage employee experience, including orientation, onboarding, training & development programs, and disciplinary action

  • Develop innovative ways to reward, recognize, and engage employees

  • Liaison with Corporate HR office in NYC and help roll out company-wide initiatives and policies, adhering to the union contract; work with the General Manager to fulfill internal and client data reporting responsibilities on an ongoing basis

  • Assist team with recruitment of new employees through multiple channels; help run interview and selection processes, and partner with third-party staffing organizations as needed

  • Work with the Fleet, Facilities, and Safety Manager to ensure facilities, vehicles, and policies are designed to accommodate the needs of the team in a safe manner; ensure compliance with OSHAs injury reporting

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • College degree required.

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in project management, office/administrative management, human resources or related role

  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Applications, and ability to learn new software

  • Dependability - As the lead responsible for building the experience and culture at Divvy, you must be reliable, responsive, and constantly seeking to improve. You will help set the tone for the office and the way our team relates to Divvy.

  • This position may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week

  • May require bending, stooping, lifting up to 45 pounds

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Previous Human Resources experience is preferred
