Early-stage venture-backed startup (Techstars Chicago ‘17) looking for an infrastructure engineer to build out our technology architecture and development systems.

We’ve just finished the Techstars Chicago accelerator program and raised a round of venture financing. Now we’re looking to bring on a talented team passionate about making the world more connected.

We’re looking for an experienced infrastructure engineer to help build out the systems behind 4Degrees. The team will look to this engineer to design, implement, and manage our server architecture, continuous deployment processes, security, and data management. The engineer will have the opportunity to set the vision for the company’s technology systems, architecting and building the solution essentially from scratch. 

Due to the nature of what we’re building, this is a unique role. The infrastructure engineer will build a system with enterprise-grade service levels that can also scale to millions while keeping highly sensitive data secure. This role will require a continuous balance between rapidly prototyping a solution that works today while always working along a long-term sustainable roadmap.
